Bringing the Tournament to Sydney was always going to be a challenge. The Covid environment brought its own challenges. Reflecting on the 10 months journey, it has been challenging but the outcome of the two Golf Days and the Tournament Partners and Sponsors we have managed to involve has made it both a successful and rewarding experience.

The weather ended up being very kind to us and we were able to have two good fun golf days, playing the Golf Challenge format in a golf tournament for the first time.

We are in contact with the Premier’s Office to reorganise another date for the Parliament House Presentation Reception and will advise outcome.

We are still finalising arrangements, but below is the anticipated Tournament result:

WPGA Purse – $13,000
Mates On A Mission – $7,000
Nelune Foundation – $10,000
Superheroes Community Care River Retreat – $22,000

A goal of taking the Tournament to Sydney was to raise higher levels of community fundraising. For our first Sydney Tournament to achieve an overall result of just over $50,000 exceeds our best expected target.

There are too many people to individually thank, so our thanks to everyone involved.  Particular acknowledgment to, Naming Rights Sponsor to Clive Mayhew, Golf Challenge, WPGA Tour Australasia, Golf NSW, ANZ Mobile Lending, Nowra Cranes, It’s My Club, WIN TV, Shoalhaven Signs, Volvik, Adidas, Coca Cola Europacific, Callaway, Bright Print Group, McCarroll’s, the Hills Lodge, Tooheys, Robert Oatley and Castle Hill Country Club.

As we were not able to proceed with the Parliament House Presentation Reception, the Premier’s was not able to deliver the 2022 Tournament special announcement. Hope to be able to advise in the near future.
